Hille Band Hits High Notes in Contests

Band Director Steve Nendza has grown the band program to double its size, fostering confidence and skill in its members, who recently took home several top honors.

Members of the Hille Middle School band have plenty to brag about.

Their band has, winning top prizes at three contests within the last month. The group most recently touts Division I ratings from the South Suburban Junior High Conference Band Contest and Illinois Grade School Music Association Band Contest.

Nendza is quick to applaud his talented students, attributing each win to their hard work and dedication to their instruments. But the students seem to think Nendza has more to do with it than he's willing to admit.
