The King, Queen, and the Royal Court of Oaken Forest request your presence at this year’s Madrigal Dinner.
The Madrigal is one of the most enduring musical forms in all history. The Madrigal found favor with the Italian Noble Class in the 16th century. Eventually the Madrigal found its way to England, where the English put their distinguishing touch on the form. All members of the English nobility were required to have musical training and often performed Madrigal songs at court. The fact that we are still performing these songs that are over four hundred years old is a testament to their musical worth.
Please join our court on either Saturday, December 3rd at 6:30 pm or Sunday, December 4th at 3 pm for music, dance, and song.
