VIDEO: Best of the Fest

A tribute to hometown heroes, and a show given by one; flash mobs; fast eaters; toe tappers; star gazers—Oak Fest had it all. You know you had a good time, and so did we!

After the last spin on the Tilt-A-Whirl, the final deep frying of dough, and the last sip of beer, Oak Fest whisked out of town as quickly as it had swept in.

The 24th annual festival had its share of , but many will  remember those at the hand of a ride operator, or the skip of a heartbeat at the pop of a firecracker.

Oak Fest fans will put this one in the books for its live music (including hometown favorite Chris Medina), hot food, cold drinks, good company and fun. After an opening night walloped by strong storms, the fest rebounded with a strong Friday—including a re-scheduled Salute to Hometown Heroes. Saturday's heat kept fans inside during the afternoon, but they came running when it came time for the . Sunday morning's car and bike show brought out the along with hundreds of Infinity fans Sunday night.
