Trick-or-Treating Still On in Oak Forest
Despite forecasts of rain and possible isolated thunderstorms, Oak Forest will stick to its trick-or-treating hours of 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
Get out the umbrellas. Despite the National Weather Service predicting "periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms" Thursday, trick-or-treating is still a go in Oak Forest.
The City of Oak Forest will stick to its trick-or-treating hours of 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.
As of 10:15 a.m., 2.73 inches of rain had fallen at Midway Airport, according to the NWS.

Follow these basic safety tips on Halloween:
- Stay in well-lighted areas
- Never go out alone
- Carry a flashlight
- Trick or treat in your neighborhood and go to houses you know
- Wear white or reflective clothing
- Set a time limit for children to trick-or-treat
- Have your parents check your treats when you get home
