The Fleadh Lineup: Blarney Stone Pub Cooks Up Irish Brews, Tunes and Chow

Each day leading up to the Fleadh, Patch will feature a business participating in the Fleadh's Pub and Restaurant Open House Saturday, March 12.

The second annual is just 11 days away, and Patch wants to .

Over the next two weeks, we'll rattle off the 10 bars and restaurants that are part of the pub and restaurant open house fun. We'll give you the rundown of what they're offering, when and for how much during the Fleadh.

What time should I be there? Doors open at 7 a.m.

...That's a little early. ... Skip breakfast and come hungry! The bar will offer a traditional Irish breakfast of eggs, Irish sausage, soda bread, beans, bacon and fried tomatoes, for $8.95. A Bloody Mary bar will also be available, along with "Crispmosa's," or mimosas made with Irish cider and orange juice.

How much to get in? No cover until 2 p.m., $5 from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m. The $10 official Blarney Stone shirt buys entry for the Fleadh and St. Patrick's Day festivities the following weekend.

So, food and drink? What else? Two heated tents in addition to the usual interior space makes for enough room for 2,000 people, owner Tom Spellman said. Live bands will play throughout the day, beginning at 1 p.m.

  • Go Long Mule, 5 to 6 p.m.
  • Curtis Evans and Our Friends Electric, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Safe Haven, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Kevin Flynn and the Avondale Ramblers, 10:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Safe Haven, acoustic 12:30 a.m. to close

After chowing down on some Irish grub, don't miss the tricycle race at 10 a.m., and stay put to check out the parade from the pub's heated tent.

What's on tap for the day, and what will it run me? Guinness, Harp and Smithwick's all on special at $5 a piece. Also, domestic drafts priced at $3 and 16-oz. bottles $4 each. Irish coffee also served, with a specialty shots bar in the tent.
