Stanley Cup Set to Appear Nearby, Find Out Where and When

Lord Stanley's Cup is finally making it to our neck of the woods this week as three local stops are scheduled for Wednesday.

Longtime Chicago Blackhawks trainer and Crestwood resident Mike Gapski will bring the cup to the area and giving the fans an opportunity to have their picture taken with the prized trophy.

On Wednesday, July 24 the Stanley Cup will be making three appearances.

9 to 10:30 a.m.

Incarnation Parish located at 5757 W. 127th St. in Palos Heights will host the cup first. Photos with the Cup are $5 for individuals and $10 for families with all proceeds going to local charities and Crestwood amateur sports teams.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

After Incarnation, a parade with the Cup will take place with Gapski and will end up in Cesear Park at 4454 142nd St. in Crestwood, where there will be another photo op with the Cup from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m for the same price.

9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Stanley Cup will also be on display and available for pictures at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 West 115 Street in Merrionette Park. The cost for photos are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. All of the proceeds will benefit Black Hawk Charities. Wristbands will go on sale starting at 6 p.m. and a professional photographer will be taking the photos. Anyone else can take pictures from below the stage where the cup will be, according to 115 Bourbon Street.
