Oak Forest Salutes Its Brave

Citizens and officials gathered near the veterans' memorial outside City Hall Monday, May 30, to take a moment to reflect and honor those who have served.

A Memorial Day service took place at the Oak Forest City Hall Monday morning. A high school choir sang the National Anthem and veterans spoke on the meaning of the occasion. There was a gun salute and a wreath presentation. Local Boy Scouts hosted a cookout afterward to celebrate.
