Gallery: Easy Being Green for Oak Forest Fleadh

The weather might not have been exactly what they expected, but a chilly rain couldn't dampen Fleadh-goers' spirits Saturday, March 9.

A cold sprinkle and icy coating had 5K runners a little worried, but 540 of the 600 registered decided to layer on the green, lace up and hit the course anyway. By the time others made their way to Cicero Avenue for the rest of the Fleadh activities, the sprinkle had stopped, and the fun was just getting started. 

Oak Forest's fourth annual Irish festival included a 5K, a parade and open bike ride, and a pub and restaurant crawl that sent customers flooding nine local establishments. 

Take a gander at Oak Forest residents, visitors and elected officals in their finest green attire, strutting their stuff during the parade and throughout the day.
