I can't say for sure (in my single, childless existence), but I'm betting there's no greater feeling than holding your baby for the first time.

That sweet scent of powder on their bottoms, mingling with the milk on their breath, followed by the first glance into their newly opened eyes. You see your husband's nose and your chin, maybe a head full of hair as dark as his, too.

Talk about thrilling, right?

You'll spend years showing off the latest photos of your new addition, recognizing and memorizing each milestone. So why not start with their birth?

• Log into oakforest.patch.com (The sign-up and login links are in the far upper right corner of the page.)

• Under the news tab, click on announcements. Then click "Add an Announcement" at the top right of the page.

• Fill in the necessary info and select "Births" from the Category drop down menu.

• Then you can share with friends and family by Facebook, Twitter or e-mail.
