Morton Gingerwood School Honors Memory of Danny Host
The school held its Relay for Life balloon release Monday, May 23—blue balloons, Danny's favorite color.
Morton Gingerwood school held their kick-off event for Relay for Life, Monday, May 23—closing the ceremony with the release of balloons in someone's favorite shade of blue.
's mother Annette attended the release, where she turned her eyes skyward to watch the balloons float away. Danny passed away in February 2011 after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Annette wrote about the balloon release experience on her Facebook page.
The kids went outside with blue balloons and bubbles, just as they released the balloons, it started to drizzle and one of the little friends of Danny said that Danny was crying tears of joy, it melted my heart.
