Lost Dog: Help Roxy Get Home for the Holidays (Updated)

The 11-month-old German Shepherd mix went missing Wednesday. Have you seen her?

UPDATED: 12:13 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21—A reader posted this information on Oak Forest Patch's Facebook page

"I just got a call from a friend headed onto the I57 Ramp towards Kankakee and she and her husband spotted a dog matching Roxie's description darting in and out of the woods, near the old Orchard School - on 167th and Kilpatrick. She and her husband got out of the car to try and catch her, but could not. I've left messages for the owner, Julie Carr and her husband to the numbers posted on the Patch article - haven't heard back from either one of them yet! Dog is alive and running in the forested area back there! I really hope to hear from the owners soon!!!"

Hopefully, we'll be able to report about a happy reunion for Christmas.
