Last Chance to Participate in the Winter Read-A-Thon

The Acorn Public Library is hosting a Winter Read-A-Thon on Saturday, Jan. 5, for children ages 6 to 12 years old. The event is from 1 to 4 p.m.

It's time to crack open a book, get comfy and read, read, read, as the Acorn Public Library will be hosting its Winter Read-A-Thon on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Read-A-Thon, which is open to children ages 6-12 years old, will feature prizes handed out every hour, on the hour, for children still reading. Children who read for the entire three-hour span will be entered in a raffle for one of three gift cards. Participants will be allowed two 15-minute reading breaks and one bathroom pass. Snacks will be available during the course of the event.

Children under 8 years old cannot be left alone at the library and must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
