It's Catholic Schools Week: Take a Spin Around St. Damian

St. Damian offered an open house as part of this year's Catholic Schools Week festivities.

Every year, the schools within the Archdiocese of Chicago celebrate Catholic Schools Week. This year's began on Sunday, Jan. 30, with school activities centered around the theme A+ for America. 

With over 4,000 families, St. Damian is one of the largest parishes within the archdiocese.The archdiocese encompasses 2.3 million Catholics served by 378 parishes, according to its website.

Students guided prospective families on tours of the school, offering a glimpse into the daily life of students in their educational setting. Principal Colleen Domke was available for questions throughout the two open houses, held Sunday, Jan. 30 and Tuesday, Feb. 1.

St. Damian's activities for Catholic Schools Week were part of the annual, nationwide celebration, sponsored by the National Catholic Educational Association.
