From 'Junk' to 'Treasure' at the Citywide Garage Sale May 16–17

Residents, pencil this in: May 16–17 Oak Forest will once again turn into one giant garage sale. Those dates mark the return of the city's fourth annual Citywide Garage Sale.Instead of posting these treasures on eBay, wait a month and sell them at the Oak Forest citywide garage sale.
The two-day event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16–17 throughout the city. Entry forms to participate in the garage sale must be submitted by May 9. Forms can be dropped off at Oak Forest City Hall, faxed to 708-535-0014, or e-mailed to cityofoakforest@oak-forest.org.
Residents who sign up are added to a master list of participating addresses. As the sale nears, the city advertises with local newspapers and websites, and on city television.

On Saturday, May 17 from noon to 5 p.m., Savers Thrift Superstore and the Epilepsy Foundation will collect unsold items from your garage sale. Trucks will be located at Arbor Park Middle School at 17303 South Central Avenue and CVS at 159th and Cicero Avenue. You will receive a 2014 tax donation receipt for your items.
