Face-to-Facebook: Patch Editor Vows to Meet Facebook Fans Each Week (Part 2)

Oak Forest Patch Editor Lauren Traut gets to know her readers and Facebook fans, up close and personal.

As the Oak Forest Patch Facebook page has attracted as many as 600 fans, Patch Editor Lauren Traut worried it might begin to seem a little less personal.

With an increasing number of fans to inform and interact with, Traut thought it might be nice to slow down, extend a hand, and introduce herself in person.

Through the end of the summer (to start with), Traut will meet as few as one or as many as three Facebook fans per week. They'll grab coffee, or a Coke, or share a bag of peanuts at an Oak Forest Baseball Association game. Traut will pick the fans she meets based on their responses to a Face-to-Facebook poll question. Each week, the question will remain a mystery until the day it's posted. (You can 'ooh' and 'aah.' We did just now.)

This week's winner was Julie Bravo—Julie saw Traut's post seeking Facebook fans to chat with, and invited Patch out to her son's t-ball game.
