Bears Bash Party for Park Lawn Family

Donean Masokas is one of more than hundreds of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who benefit from local nonprofit Park Lawn’s vocational day and residential programs.

Donean’s family are coordinating a “Bears Bash Game and Party” fundraiser where Donean can cheer on her favorite football team, the Chicago Bears, and also cheer for the proceeds benefitting family and friends at Park Lawn.

Everyone over the age of 21 is invited to root for the Chicago Bears as they battle against the st. Louis Rams on Sunday, September 23, at Sullivans Irish Pub & Eatery, 4660 W. 147th Street, in Midlothian from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Donean’s family decided to host the Bears Bash to raise money for Park Lawn.  Their sister benefits from Park Lawn by working at the workshop and living in the Tinley Park CILA home.  She has been associated with Park Lawn for over 40 years and has benefitted from many of their activities and friendship.

Their friends and families are all Chicago Bear fans who enjoy watching the game together, so they decided to host a Bears game party.  Sullivan’s graciously agreed to host the event on September 23 with doors opening at 11:30. Tickets are $37 per person.

The mission of Park Lawn is to provide services that promote independence, choice and access to community for people with developmental disabilities.  More information about Park Lawn can be found at www.parklawn.com.
