Don't Miss Out! Deadline Friday for Citywide Garage Sale

Residents looking to sell of some of their least-treasured belongings have just two more days to get in on the annual citywide garage sale, set for May 20–21.

If you join in, you'll be adding to a growing list of over 230 participating homes, said Ald. Laura Clemons Tuesday, May 10. The master list will be available Monday, May 16 on the city's website.

If you do not sell all of your wares at the citywide garage sale, drop them off at the Goodwill Industries donation truck, which will be parked in the CVS parking lot at 159th Street and Cicero Avenue on May 21 from 2 to 6 p.m. Goodwill employees will help unload the items from your vehicle and provide you with a tax receipt for your records. Donations also will be accepted by the St. Vincent DePaul Society, which accepts all types of household goods, clothing, along with furniture and appliances.
