As a member of the committee I wish I could be there but will be out of town. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone in Oak Forest and our neighboring communities for all thier hard work. It has been an awesome experience and the community spirit has been inspiring. It has been my pleasure to work with each and every one of you, just imagine what we can do for our town if we continue to work together. I have never been so proud to say I am from Oak Forest as I am today!

So proud of this community! I just talked to a dog-owner friend yester that lives in Orland Park about this contest, and she said she was never aware of it! Volunteers in Orland didn't advertise, push, and encourage votes like Oak Forest has and that's why we made it to the top! Thanks again to all the hardworking volunteers that made it possible for our little town to have gotten this far!

Here is the final! The Petsafe announcement will be made at 7:30 tomorrow evening, the same day and same time as the Mayor's golf outing. That caused a problem for a meeting place, because several of the dog park group will be attending the outing, AND the Mayor wanted to be with us for the announcement as well. So, after several ideas floated around, and many premature posts were made, the Mayor thought it would be a GREAT idea for us to meet up at the George Dunne golf course for the announcement. So, if you can make it, please come to the George Dunne golf course at 7:00 - 7:15 pm so that we can celebrate (or cry) together! So sorry for the major confusion, but the nighttime announcement threw everything for grabs! Hope you can make it - and please cross post.
