CONTEST: Mommy Needs a Makeover—Win One from Patch

Does your mom deserve a day of primping and pampering? Tell us why and win her the ultimate Mother's Day spa and salon package.

Thank you for your entries! The contest is now closed.

__________________________________________________

Is your mom the best? Want to show her off? Now you can—and you can win her a Mother’s Day to top them all. All you have to do is tell us what makes your mom the greatest, for a chance at winning her a total makeover courtesy of Patch and our sponsors. One day each year is officially set aside for showing mom some love, but why not start early? You could win her a full salon and spa package from  in Tinley Park, or a personal fitness package from Body by Reggie. Oh, and of course there will be flowers, courtesy of  in Oak Forest.

SO HOW DO YOU ENTER?

SHARE A VIDEO of you telling us why your mom deserves a day of pampering and relaxation by clicking on the "Upload Photos and Videos" button on this article.

Tell us what makes your mom special. Maybe she has never missed one of your band concerts or football games. Or she still makes you chicken noodle soup when you’re a little under the weather (even though you’re 35 years old). Every time you visit home, is your favorite meal waiting on the table? Or she offers to babysit the kids so you can have a night out with your significant other. Aww, she’s the best, isn’t she?

Just tell us why in a video, but keep it 2 minutes or shorter, and don’t miss our deadline!

OR you can upload a photo of you and your mom and tell us in the comments what makes your mom the greatest of all.

Once your video or photo is shared on the site, you're entered to win the grand prize. A panel of Patch judges will review the entries and select the winners.

Our deadline is May 9.

ok... this is dangerous, awkward, territory. "mom you could you a makeover" and "does this dress make my butt look fat?" are kind of in the same league.

Wish my kids would nominate me!! I would love a makeover!

It's more along the lines of, "Mom, you spend so much time taking care of other people, you need some time that's all yours, and only yours. You're the best mom ever, so I won you this relaxing spa day where you get to sit back and enjoy while people fawn all over you."
:)

Hi, Mandi! Thanks for submitting your photo, but you'll have to tell us what makes your mom the greatest! You can tell us by leaving a comment describing what makes your mom the best!
Thanks, Lauren Traut

Wendy! Have you told them about the contest? Or, consider simply telling them to check out Patch. Perhaps they'll stumble upon it on their own ... I bet you deserve it!

Carrie, thanks I think I will throw out a little hint :)

In the picture is my mom (Valerie) & me dancing. I'm not gonna say she's the greatest mom in the world because we all have our own opinions on a "World's Greatest Mom," but my mom is the greatest for me. She had me when she was 17, so I was unplanned, but she made the best of it. I now have 2 planned siblings; Devin (17) & Abby (7). My dad works nights, which is when a mother is needed more in my opinion. So my mom does a lot of work with me & my siblings, stressful homework, dinner, etc. I think she needs a spa day & I can't give that to her myself. I'm an aspiring filmmaker, so I don't have much money, which she also supports.
Please help me give my mom an awesome gift.

Thanks, Dan Kelly

They had a great line-up in 2010. Last year was so-so, but weather played a factor. They had toRead More close early because of storms. Two great bands I wished they booked for this year were Maggie Speaks and 7th Heaven. Both of those bands attracted huge crowds and are very talented.

I hope that you find the owners of that pet! I bring my black Shepherd up there when we go...oneRead More reason I don't let my dog go with neighbors is because neighbors can't control him like we do. I dare anyone to name a more dangerous intersection then that. The turn from 147th st west bound toRead More southbound Oak Park is the worst I've seen. One slip and your car goes down a ravine 20 feet. The civil engineer and county people who approved that design should be called out. We NEED HELP!
