13th Annual Senior Health Fair Set for Thursday

The Oak Forest Senior Commission will host its annual Senior Health Fair this Thursday, Oak. 11, at the Oak Forest Park District Gymnasium.

The Oak Forest Senior Commission is gearing up for its 13th Annual Senior Health Fair this Thursday, Oct. 11. The fair will be held at the Oak Forest Park District Gymnasium, 15601S. Central Ave., and is free to attend.

“We're doing it so that the seniors can get to see thing that they need,” said Beverly Beaty, Senior Commission Chairwoman. “We keep it at the gymnasium because it's easier to get to and it's not too far to walk from the parking lot.”

During the fair, which will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., attendees will be able to receive free health screenings, flu shots, shingles, pneumonia and T-dap vaccines, provided by Walgreen's in Oak Forest and Dominick's of Homer Glen.
