Top Schools for Chicago-Area Investment Asset Management Careers

For students considering a career in investment asset management, eVestment’s just-released Education Report offers a unique perspective on the universities and colleges that have placed the most key professionals at institutional asset management firms in the Chicago area and nationwide.

Asset managers from around the globe provide a variety of data to eVestment, a leading global investment data analytics firm, including information on investment returns, asset flows and detailed information on their strategies. This data also includes the educational backgrounds of the firms’ key professionals. eVestment’s new report, based on that data, offers a look at the top alumni networks overall and weighted for school size, as well as regional rankings for key U.S. markets like Chicago, firm roles, specific investment market segments and year of graduation.

For Chicago-area students looking to stay close to Chicago when they enter the work world, the top 10 colleges and universities supplying talent to asset management firms headquartered within a 75-mile radius of Chicago are:
