Recently, Oak Forest High School Senior Anna Baggili placed third in the State Journalism Finals for Feature Photography at Eastern Illinois University. Baggili was given a prompt to photo record events that were going on around campus. She then edited her photos, wrote captions for them, and submitted them for judging.
Competing along with her was Oak Forest High School Freshman Ethan Mensing in Broadcast Journalism. He recorded a radio broadcast and submitted it for judging.
Both competitors were thrilled to be competing at the State Journalism Meet. The Oak Forest High School Journalism team sponsors are Ms. Kate Vana for yearbook and Mr. Kevin Farrell for newspaper.
