Oak Forest HS Students View Clothesline Project

Oak Forest High School students viewed the Clothesline Project recently in the Instructional Materials Center at Oak Forest High School.  The Clothesline Project, sponsored by South Suburban Family Shelter, is a collection of t-shirts that are designed by survivors of domestic abuse or by someone who wants to honor someone who was domestically abused.  Each t-shirt has a message that Oak Forest High School students took time to read, while a bell tolled, which signified the amount of times per minute that an domestic abuse incident takes place.  Students were very moved after reading the t-shirts.  The Clothesline Project was brought to Oak Forest High School by Oak Forest High School Social Workers Ms. Jen DeBosschere and Ms. Cassie Reid.
