Oak Forest HS Students Attend 'Stop the Violence' Event

Oak Forest High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) teacher Kristina Dace announced today that her FCCLA class attended a “Stop the Violence” event held at Tinley Park High School.  In this event, students listened to different speakers and participated in discussion about all types of violence.  Domestic violence, gang violence, community violence and school violence were all a part of the discussions students had throughout the day.  After the event, students designed t-shirts symbolizing the way they feel about violence after listening to the presentations.

Oak Forest HS students who participated in the event are: (Front row L to R):  Brian Richard, Emily LoRusso, Valerie Ramos, Victoria Niewinski, Cassondra Renshaw, Lacey Dinsmore, Brandi Petrouskas, Melissa Thoman, Sarah Szewczyk, Samantha Ryan and Cailin McRae.  (Back row L to R):  Calie Delisi, Drew Tobin, Kayla Killacky, Emily Wronowski, Andrew Naegele, Kayla Tormey, Morgan McMurray, Paige Bird, Hannah Kamper, Ana Vergara, Helwa Saleh and Tiera Veals.
