Oak Forest High School Safari Yearbook Adviser Kate Vana announced that her 2013-14 yearbook staff won First Place for theme presentation at the summer Walsworth Publishing Company Yearbook camp held right before school at Elmhurst College.
Judges commented that the theme was very unique and one that they had not seen before.
Several Safari staff members won special honors. Helwa Saleh placed 2nd in a photography competition and Anna Baggilli placed 2nd in a writing competition. Katie Maurer was named to the “Dream Team” of yearbook members.
