Oak Forest HS Mathletes Take 2nd Place at Regional Tournament

Recently, the Oak Forest High School Bengal Mathletes took Second Place at the Lincoln-Way East Regional.  18 Mathletes qualified for the State contest in May.  State Qualifiers and Regional Champions were:  Ni'Gere Epps in Algebra 1, Adam Kral and Vlad Souboch in the Two-Person Team, and Jordan Hoang, Wyatt Kurtz, Janiesh Patel, Annie Samoska, Kelsey Golk, Heqi Li, Sally Salman, and Jessy Sandoval in the Junior/Senior Team.  Other State Qualifiers were:  Amir Alsheikh, Becky Boswell, Kika Arias, Nick Kunnath, Lizzy Samoska, Jason Marvin and Erika Arias.  The Bengal Mathletes are coached by Oak Forest High School teachers Sue Poncin, Melanie Gengo and Ken Valiska.
