Oak Forest HS Child Care II Students Train for CPR Certification

Oak Forest High School Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher Katherine Picht’s Child Care II class is working towards certificates of completion for CPR Certification and First Aid Training.

Oak Forest High School Family and Consumer Sciences teachers Katherine Picht, Mark Furstenau and Kristina Dace became certified CPR Instructors in order to train child care students during their CPR training.

In the photo, Child Care II students Desiree Rodriguez and Amber Pearson are practicing their CPR skills on an infant practice dummy.  Students watched a video, learned important skills and then practiced on the infant dummy under the watchful eyes of their teacher trainers.  This is the second year that Oak Forest High School Child Care II students have worked for their CPR certification.
