Recently, Oak Forest High School Band Director Nick Rojek announced that both the Jazz Band and Concert Band received straight Division 1 ratings for the fifth year in a row at the IHSA Band competition held at Oak Lawn High School. The band students represented Oak Forest High School extraordinarily well, as they were one of only two groups receiving this rating. There were 15 other ensembles that performed in each event.
