[Bridgeview, IL]  Northwestern College’s Bridgeview Campus (7725 S. Harlem Avenue) once again participated in the Bridgeview Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Annual Bridgeview Chamber Food & Toy Drive.  This is the 24th year that the Bridgeview Chamber has sponsored this drive to benefit the needy families and children of the Bridgeview Community.  Once more Northwestern College served as an official drop-off site for food and toys for the community, as well as for the college’s own students, staff and faculty.  This community-wide effort resulted in the Chamber being able to distribute toys this year to over 1,350 children in the community and to make food drops to local food pantries and other community service organizations.

Amy Buoscio, Northwestern College’s Career Development Coordinator and Bridgeview Chamber Director, spearheaded the efforts at the College by facilitating the collection of food and toys from November through December 11. Staff members of the College then further assisted the Chamber by getting the toys to a master site where they were separated according to girl/boy and then by age groups, readying them for distribution.
