District 228's Pre-PERA Committee Wins NSPRA Award

The Bremen District 228 Pre-PERA Committee recently received notification from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) that it has won an "Award of Merit" for the Bremen District 228 Evaluation Resource Guide. The guide was entered into the NSPRA 2014 Publications and Electronic Media Contest because of the extensive information it provides to District 228 staff that are responsible for the evaluation process. 

Due to the Performance Evaluation Reform Act (PERA) laws regarding certified staff evaluations, a District Evaluation Committee (DEC) was formed to take the necessary steps to guide District 228 through this process. Through its research the committee chose the Danielson Framework for Teaching, 2nd Edition, by Charlotte Danielson, as its model for evaluations. As the committee gathered information and created guidance documents, it determined the need for the resource guide.

Out of the 512 entries for the NSPRA contest, the Pre-PERA Committee was recognized for creating the guide. Congratulations to the members of the Committee including:
