District 228 Students Can Earn Free College Credit

Bremen High School District 228 students have the opportunity to earn college credit while in their high school courses.  This program, known as "Dual Credit," is based upon articulations and agreements with Bremen High School District 228 and South Suburban College or Moraine Valley Community College.

Parents and guardians of students in the related classes will be receiving the registration paperwork in the mail starting the week of November 11.  "This is a great program for students to get a head start on college credits," stated Renee Mack, Director of Career and Technology for the District.  To be eligible for the free college tuition, students need to return the registration paperwork and earn an A or B in the class.  The dual credits are also transferable.  District 228 currently offers the following dual credit classes:  Corporate Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Microcomputer Interdisciplinary Applications, TV Production, Forensics, Child Care II, Automotive Technology, College Ready Computer Applications, Culinary I and Culinary II, and Engineering Foundations for CAD Design.
