Bone Marrow Registry Drive

There will be a Be The Match bone marrow registry drive at Temple Anshe Sholom, 20820 S. Western Ave. from 11:30 until 1:00 for those persons ages 18-44 who want to get on the registry as  possible donors to persons needing a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.  This drive is in honor of Ben Gulizia -Cowing, age 14, who is ill with leukemia and is the grandson of Marcia Cowing, a member of Anshe Sholom .  One out of about 540 people actually becomes a donor to someone in need.  At this drive, one fills out an application and submits 4 mouth swabs which are sent to the national marrow donor program to see if one matches up with someone needing a transplant. More information can be found at Bethematch.org or call 773-779-4928.   Get swabbed and possibly save a life!
