Pick your Pumpkin at Church Sale

Still haven't chosen your pumpkin? There's time, and plenty to choose from at Faith United Presbyterian!

Faith United Presbyterian Church, located at 6200 167th St., is trying its hand at the pumpkin trade.

From Oct. 17–31, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., pick a pumpkin for $3 and up (depending on the size of the pumpkin). Enjoy apple cider, snacks and fall decorations during the week. Fridays through Sundays there will be extra activities to entertain children, including a Bounce House, a maze, and a crafts activity table. There will be settings available for photo opportunities, too. The pumpkin patch is a fundraiser to help many of the church's ministries, provide camp scholarships and help its fulfill needs within Tinley Park. Find out more info. *And every day through Oct. 31.

Also today:
Oak Forest residents who bought an extra bag of Halloween candy, GiGi's Playhouse would be happy to take it off your hands.

GiGi's welcomes donations of any candy not containing nuts for its Halloween party Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Anyone willing can drop candy off at the playhouse prior to Sunday, so the staff can plan how much extra to purchase. The house is located at 5400 W. 159th St., near the rear of the building.
