What Should Go Here? Vacant Store on 159th Street

The building at 5141 W. 159th Street currently stands empty, but it could be the future home of any number of businesses. Patch puts it to our readers: What Should Go here?

The 159th Street corridor is lined with businesses that provide products for pretty much any consumer need. Grocery stores, gas stations, banks and restaurants line both sides of the street, but there are also several empty stores.

One such storefront is located at 5141 W. 159th Street, a free-standing building featuring a parking lot, signage exposure to 159th Street and more.

The location is listed as a retail location, so it could be used as a store, a gift shop or something similar.

Patch wants to know: What do you think should go here?

For more information about this location, call (708) 229-8599.

Sure, this sounds like a great idea. I'll put something together for tomorrow. Can you email me some to get started? I can create a map, like I did last year with Christmas decorations. I'm at lauren.traut@patch.com.

I think a Chick fil A would do great somewhere in Oak Forest. We have plenty of closed up businesses here that could be converted.

Based on the number of people supporting Chick-fil-A during this summer's "controversy" versus the number of protestors, I believe Chick-fil-A would have a great amount of support if they came to Oak Forest.
