What Should Go Here? Empty Store in Acorn Plaza
The Acorn Plaza strip mall is nearly full of local businesses, but there is one spot still up for rent. Patch wants to know: What should go here?
Cicero Avenue connects several suburbs, and businesses line both sides of the street, welcoming customers. In Oak Forest Cicero Avenue features Beggars Pizza, Oak Forest Bowl and numerous strip malls full of shops, restaurants and child car facilities.
One such strip mall is the Acorn Plaza, 4809 155th Street, which features Acorn Child Care & Early Learning Center, Gary's Barber Shop, Pup-N-Suds Dog Grooming and Angel Nails & Waxing. There is, however, a vacancy in Acorn Plaza, ready to be filled by a local ambitious business owner.
Located at 4815 C, the spot is nestled between Pup-N-Suds and Angel Nails & Waxing, and shares parking with the other businesses in the plaza.
The location could be the future home of a local takeout restaurant, a Cash for Gold store, a sporting goods shop or something else entirely.

there used to be a computer repair store there. something service oriented like that would be good. not enough traffic for retail.

Why would the city want another cash for gold shop? The town looks like trash from those we already have. We might as well add pawn shops or a gentlemen's club to round it out.
