What Should Go Here? Closed NAPA Auto Parts Store

The NAPA Auto Parts store in Oak Forest closed its doors for the final time after being consolidated into the Palos Hills location. Now, Patch wants to know: What should go here?

Oak Forest gearheads looking for parts, tips or tools for their cars now have one less local place to turn to after the recent closing of the Oak Forest Napa Auto Parts store, 6224 W. 159th Street.

The store was consolidated with the Palos Hills location, according to a sign on the building.

Customers who drive past the Oak Forest location will note a large semi-trailer in front of the store, with large signs on the front doors noting the consolidation. Inside the store, which also has had its NAPA Auto Parts sign removed from the building's facade, inventory is stacked, wrapped and ready to be moved.

With the store gone, Patch wants to know: What should go here? Could a mom-and-pop auto parts store fill in the space, maybe some sort of other customer-service based store or could the J.M.D. Sox Outlet expand its business into the neighboring location?

Let Patch know in the comments below.

I think we need another pawn/we buy gold/title loan store, we only have like 20 already!

This would be a great question for Community Development Director Adam Dotson, if you could get him to return your calls. It seems that there is a new "What Should Go Here" story every couple of days and no new business "Going Here".
I would like to know what new businesses our Community Development Director has brought to our community, if any. Maybe it is time for a new director, somebody that will actually bring our community some new businesses.

You think it's all his fault? What about the person or company that owns the property?

I did not say it was anybodies fault.
I just said that there seems to be a lot of businesses closing in Oak Forest (hence the need for a new "What Should Go Here" story every couple of days).
I also questioned what new businesses have been brought into Oak Forest because of our Community Development Director.
I also seem to remember the city recently hiring a consultant to basically do the job that Adam Dotson is paid for, so why do we need him?

Mr. Graveline, please check your facts before you submit. The sign says Palos Hills not Palos Heights

Mr. Howe,
You are correct. I apologize for the error. Thanks for pointing it out. I've fixed the article to reflect the correct change in location. Thanks again and thanks for reading.
