Pick a Treat: What's Your Must-Have Halloween Candy?

Take our Patch poll and pick your No. 1 treat.

I have a confession to make. Candy corn is my least favorite sweet of all time. I haven't had one in more than a decade.

It might even rank in my all-time most hated foods of all time, if I ever actually sat down and devised such a list.

This makes me an odd ball, I'm sure.

I don't really know what is it, either, that makes that particular confection so repellant. I love candy. Virtually all other kinds of it. My favorites are the really sugary ones, like Sweet Tarts and Smarties (which I think is just pressed sugar made in a way similar to how Superman squeezed a coal into a diamond in Superman 3).

October is the time of the year to spend way too much time thinking about these sweet treats. Parents will be sending their little ones off costumes to collect the confections. Those who stay home will hand out packages of edible joy to all the monsters, goblins and fairy princesses who stop by.

In the midst of all this ghoulish chaos, there's probably at least one candy you'll sneak away for yourself. That one favorite morsel you must have.

Take our Patch Poll below.

Yep, it's true, my guilty pleasure in Halloween candy is Candy corn. If you find any in your trick or treat bag or pillowcase, just send it my way!

Much in line with my old man, I've developed an affinity for Almond Joy's in recent time.

The question was about candy, nobody needs to know what you do with your life partner.

I voted candy corn, but it's not showing up...bummer.

Either those or oddly, the orange and black Mary Jane peanut butter blossoms. If you can get them really fresh they are the best!! I always hated them as a kid though, little did I know....

I voted for Snickers- but additionally: Kit-Kat, Twix, Snickers, Candy Corn
I hope it's still true that Kit-Kats cost less, due to sugar tax, cuz they have wafers.

From a very early age the kids knew that dad gets the tootsie rolls! Now that they're older, they just buy me a bag every year.

Take a piece of candy corn and a salted roasted peanut & chew them up at the same time. Tastes like a snickers now, doesn't it?! Not sure, then try it another time or two & you just may be hooked!
