True Love: Which Oak Forest Lovebirds Embody the Spirit of Love?

With Valentine's Day approaching, we want to know which couples in Oak Forest reflect the real meaning of true love?

True love can be hard to find, and as some of our readers have noted, even harder to keep. Relationships and marriages take a lot of work. Our readers have said they require compromise, patience, understanding, humility and a sense of humor, to name just a few. Some relationships and marriages will survive the trials of tragedy and time, others won't.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, we want to know which couples in Oak Forest you think truly demonstrate a sense of mutual love and adoration, and an enviable strength. They're the ones who have been married 50 years, or who you predict will most certainly, undoubtedly make it to that milestone.

They've had their bumps in the road, but they've navigated each one, together. Perhaps they've raised upstanding citizens who have become invaluable members of the Oak Forest community. Perhaps they were even high school sweethearts.

Whatever your reason, when you think "true love," you picture these two.

Leave your nomination in the comments. We will visit with the couple that receives the most nominations, just in time for Valentine's Day, and put their love on display for all to see.

Let's hear it, Oak Forest! Who's the mushiest, sweetest twosome you know?

I would say my parents first. but sadly mom passed away almost 4 years ago...if she hadn't they would have been married 51 years last week....SO with that in mind I would no doubt have to say the Simons!!!! They are wonderful individuals that together make an awesome team.

Ok, I am sure they all lovely couples. But my vote is Juliana and Chris. That's a no brainer. Chris had the option to walk away and didn't and he still hasn't even after 2 years. He wasn't obligated like a husband would have been. But he chose to stay and because of his love, Juliana is getting better. His love is helping her stay alive, it motivates her, gives her purpose to keep fighting. Not many can say that about a fiance. A spouse maybe, but for someone to have had the choice to go but didnt? Yeah that's true love. So my vote is to Juliana Ramos and Chris Medina.
