Register to Vote by March 12
The deadline to register to vote for the April election is March 12.
Residents wishing to vote in the April 9 municipal election need to act soon—the deadline to register is fast-approaching.
The cutoff to register is Tuesday, March 12. Residents can register at City Hall, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mayor Hank Kuspa is running unopposed. City Clerk Scott Burkhardt is up against Carl Stegner. Candidate John Janozik is running against 4th Ward Alderman Chuck Toland.
After opponents challenged the candidacy of two incumbents, the 6th Ward race is down to two candidates: Ken Barry and James Hortsman. Former mayor Jo Ann Kelly is seeking election to the city treasurer role, and 2nd Ward Alderman Rich Simon is running once again.

Did everyone in the 4th ward get their first installment of property taxes? Please go through patch and other websites and review all the tax increases Alderman Toland has approved and look at how it relates to your higher tax bills. Toland did not do it alone. We do have the opportunity to send a "not approve" message to the Alderman and others on the board come election time however.
I would urge everyone to get out and vote.
