One man died from injuries suffered during an apartment fire in the 5000 block of 159th Street in Oak Forest Thursday morning.
One man has died following an early morning blaze in the 5000 block of 159th Street Dec. 6.
Stanley Chmura, 59, was taken to South Suburban Hospital, where he died from injuries suffered during the fire, said Oak Forest Fire Chief Terry Lipinski. He was found in the living room of his small apartment after the fire was extinguished.
The fire department was called to the burning apartment at 1:34 a.m. Four other departments helped in battling the fire, the cause of which is still undetermined.
Chmura was the sole occupant of the one-bedroom apartment. There was no additional damage to any other apartments in the building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The article says he was found in the living room, not his bedroom. It could have been anything...electrical short, burning candle, who knows. No one should be "judging" anything about anyone......unless you're perfect. Just saying....

I understand people are entitled to their opinion, but you need to understand he had family and they read articles about this tragic event. I am his neice and would appreciate it if people were to be more sensitive about the matter and not try to speculate what happened.
