Oak Forest authorities say 32-year-old Terrell Randall shot two Markham women. He was caught in Lansing, according to police.

UPDATED, 5:22 p.m.

The man who police believe was responsible for shooting two women early this morning in Oak Forest and Markham has been apprehended, said Oak Forest Police Det. Bob Frias.

Terrell Randall, 32, was arrested without incident and with the assistance of the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and South Suburban Emergency Response Team. He is in the custody of Oak Forest police. The case is currently under investigation, and charges are pending, Frias said.

Randall, 32, of an unknown address, is believed to be armed and dangerous, and driving a 1999 beige Chevrolet Malibu with the Illinois license plate A174244, according to a statement from authorities Friday.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding Randall, but they warn that Randall should not be approached. Anyone with information about the location of Randall or his vehicle should call 911.

Police say early Friday morning, officers responded to the 15400 block of Cicero Avenue to reports of a 28-year-old woman on the ground. Upon arrival, officers determined that the victim had been shot and was in serious condition, the release stated.

The victim was conscious and able to identify her attacker before she was transported to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, where she underwent surgery and is in critical condition.

An investigation revealed Terrell Randall was the shooter, police say.

Later, around 4:30 a.m. Friday, another female was shot in Markham, and authorities identified Randall as the shooter in that incident as well.

Randall has four previous convictions for weapon offenses and five convictions for dangerous drugs, according to police. He was released on parole in May, authorities said, after being in custody for two years.

“I am outraged that such a dangerous felon would be released from prison after serving only a short period of time with the Department of Corrections," Oak Forest Police Chief Greg Anderson said. "These shootings could have been prevented if dangerous criminals such as Randall would have served more of their sentence.”

For more details or to provide police with information on Randall's whereabouts, people should call the Oak Forest Police Department at 708-687-1376 or the Markham Police Department at 708-331-2171.
