Last Chance to Enter Patch's Halloween Costume Contest
Time is running out to enter Patch's nationwide costume contest, which is open to kids and adults. The deadline to enter is Monday, Nov. 5 at 11:59 p.m.
Halloween might be over, but Patch is still digging the spooky day. We're just about ready to reward readers who came up with the spookiest, coolest, most creative costumes in town.
But you have to enter, for a chance to win Patch's nationwide Halloween costume contest.
The contest, which is open to anyone in America, ends Monday, Nov. 5 at 11:59 p.m. A panel of judges will chose the top 21 costumes in each state, with the top-costumed contestant winning $5,000.
Last year, Jack Hagan of Wyckoff, New Jersey took home top honors in Patch's costume contest, which scored him a cool $1,031 for a charity of his choosing.
This year, the 21 state finalists will each receive $250, while the top costumed reader will receive $5,000. Locally, we'll choose winners from the Southland in three categories: kids, adults and pets.
The three local champs will each receive a "treat": a $25 gift card to The Sweet Company in Mokena.
