TUESDAY, JAN. 15
You Can't Outrun the Long Arm of the Law
Anthony F.E. Hanna, 20, of the 6000 block of W. 159th Street, was charged with resisting, obstructing or attempting to disarm an officer and probation violation after an incident at Phillips 66, 15229 Cicero Avenue.
Police were called to the gas station by an employee, after they saw a suspicious subject walking around the back of the station. At the station, police saw Hanna, who matched the description given by the gas station employee.
Police attempted to stop Hanna, who attempted to flee the area by running across the street and then behind Oak Forest Bowl, into the neighborhood behind the bowling alley.
Police began a foot pursuit, eventually catching Hanna in the backyard of a home in the 15200 block of La Crosse Avenue
Hanna was taken into custody and transported to the Oak Forest police station, where he was processed and booked for fleeing and an outstanding Cook County Sheriff's warrant. He was then placed in a holding cell to await a bond hearing.
MONDAY, JAN. 14
Drunk Friends Damage Resident's Home
Daniel M. Millican, 22, of the 6900 block of 157th Street, Tinley Park, and Christopher M. Daniels, 21, of the 300 block of Somonauk Street, Park Forest, were both charged with criminal damage to property and cited for public intoxication after an incident in the 15300 block of Lamon Avenue.
Officers were called to the scene after a resident reported loud banging noises at their front and side doors. The victim said he heard glass break at his front door as well.
When police arrived, they say Millican pounding on the front door and took him into custody. Millican told officers his friend, Daniels, broke the front door window of the home and was running down the street.
Officers found Daniels, who was bleeding from his arm, on Lamon Avenue and he was uncooperative with officers during questioning. Daniels was transported to South Suburban Hospital for treatment before being transported to the Oak Forest police station.
At the station both men were charged with criminal damage to property and cited for public intoxication. They were released on bond, pending a Feb. 26 court date.
SUNDAY, JAN. 13
Shopping Spree on Stolen Credit Card
Police were called to the 15600 block of Lamon Avenue after a victim reported a burglary to their car and a financial identity theft.
The victim told officers that an unknown suspect(s) broke into her car and removed her purse, including one Discover and one American Express credit card. The victim told police that the suspect(s) used the Discover card to charge $1,559 at Target in Calumet City.
The victim said that all accounts were closed after she realized her cards were missing and that she would like to sign complaints if the suspect(s) is found.
