Crestwood Woman Arrested on Outstanding Drug Warrant

Amanda Marie Heller, 26, of the 5400 block of Fairway Drive in Crestwood, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report. Heller was stopped by police after she made a lane violation. A background search turned up a warrant from the Robbins Police Department. She was taken into custody and transported to Robbins.

More Than $3K in Tools Stolen From Parked Trailer

More than $3,000 in tools were reported stolen from a trailer parked in the 15800 block of Terrace Drive, according to a report. The trailer was attached to a 2004 F250 pickup. It had been locked and left on the road. When the owner returned, he found the lock was missing and a large dent on the rear of the door.

He found the following items, totaling $3,100, missing:

• four Force 9 air movers
• each valued at $400
• a Phoneix brand dehumidifier, valued at $1,500

Driver Claims He Had 8 Drinks Before Crash

Ronald A. Clark, Jr., 27, of the 16000 block of Oak Avenue in Oak Forest, was charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, according to a report. Police were investigating a hit and run crash that happened about 8:10 p.m. in the 16200 block of Oak Avenue when witnesses told an officer they had followed a silver Dodge Ram suspected in the accident.

Police caught up with the truck, which was parked on Oak Avenue, and spoke with the driver, Clark. A strong smell of alcohol came from the truck's window, according to the report. A dent with fresh, maroon paint chips was visible on the front bumper of the truck. The car that was struck was a 2000 maroon Lincoln.

Clark was asked to perform field sobriety tests and told police he had eight drinks that night. He was arrested and booked but refused to take a breath test at the police station, the report started. Clark is due in court April 4.

Catalytic Converter Stolen From Parked Vehicle

A 45-year-old Tinley Park man told police someone cut out the catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at Inprint Graphics, 4201 W. 166th St. The theft happened between 11:15 a.m. and 11:21 a.m. Video surveillance captured a vehicle that had pulled next to the vehicle during that time. After a few minutes, the car left and fled westbound on 166th Street.
