A car backed into a stopped school bus at 7:30 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Corey Lane and Terrace Drive. There were no injuries to any students on the bus or the driver of the car.
"Nobody was hurt, everyone got to school and is OK," said Sgt. Alex Curlee.
Curlee said that the driver of the car was backing out of a parking space from one of the condos or apartment buildings and backed into the bus, which was stopped at a stop sign. The driver of the car was cited for improper backing.
"I guess the driver just didn't see the bus," Curlee said. "But, like I said, everyone is OK and went about their day."
