Oak Forest police are investigating a robbery of the Bremen Township building, 15350 Oak Park Avenue, after approximately $2,500 was taken sometime between March 1 to 4.
An employee reported the robbery around 7:30 a.m. March 4. The man told police that he had noted the main, south door was ajar and when he went inside that the service counter window was shattered.
Police investigated the building and did not find a suspect. Officers were able to determine that someone forced open the door and threw a landscaping brick through the service window, shattering it.
The office manager, who arrived at the building after police, then showed officers her office, along with her file cabinet. Missing from the cabinet was approximately $2,500 in cash. The manager said that it was strange the cash was missing, and that whoever committed the crime must be familiar with procedures of the office.
Nothing else was missing from the scene and police turned the matter over to investigations.
