Blarney Fest Welcomes Close of Summer
The Blarney Stone wants to show its customers they're appreciated, with an end of summer festival.
The summer is drawing to a close, and Blarney Stone Pub wants to send it out with a 12-hour party. Blarney Fest will be Saturday, Aug. 13, beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting until 3 a.m. Manager Tom Spellman is hoping for good weather, but says the event will be held under a tent—rain or shine.
"We get a really good response in the community," said manager Tom Spellman. "People enjoy it because of the relaxing setting."
For $5, festivalgoers can enjoy seven bands, drink and food specials and a bean bag tournament.
The bands that will perform include: Sugar Rush, Damaged Metal, Tourettes, Rukuss, Shannon Conway, Sun Fallen, Safe Haven & Brown Town. There will be bands playing house music earlier in the day.
After 8 p.m., admission will be 21 years old and up.
