OF Man Pleads Not Guilty to Murder Charges
Charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicide, Norberto Rodriguez entered a plea of not guilty Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Oak Forest resident and former Chicago police officer Norberto Rodriguez pleaded not guilty Tuesday, Jan. 4, to charges that he murdered his estranged wife Irma.
Rodriguez is accused of shooting and killing her. Her body was found in the trunk of her car in June 2009.
Nearly 18 months after her body was discovered, in November Rodriguez was charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicide, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's office.
The body of the Oak Forest resident and mother of three was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the trunk of her 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. She was in the process of finalizing their divorce.
Rodriguez's next court date was scheduled for Feb. 1.
