The Acorn Public Library needs your help, and all it takes is a few quick clicks of the mouse.

From now until Moday, Oct. 1, the library is competing in the “Read! Build! Play!” contest, which is being hosted by Lego Duplo. The contest awards the top 200 nominated libraries with early literacy tool kits, while first place gets a $5,000 cash prize.

To help support the library during the contest, residents should visit www.readbuildplay.com and follow the instructions on the website. Voting is open until Oct. 1 and the Acorn Public Library currently is in 150th place, with 251 nominations.

The library will host a Lego club on Saturday, Sept. 22nd, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Registration is limited and the club is for ages 6-12.
