Oak Forest HS Drama Group Presents One Act/One Night on February 21

Oak Forest High School teachers John Stevens and Cheryl Harris announced that the Oak Forest High School Drama Group’s Winter One-Acts performance will be February 21s, 7:00 p.m. in the Oak Forest High School Cafetorium.

Tickets will be sold at the door and are $3.00 for students and senior citizens and $5.00 for adults.  The performance raises funds for the drama program and helps defray costs when competing in IHSA Drama and Group Interpretation events.  It also allows students feedback from their peers about their performance before actual competition events.

This year’s lineup is exciting.  Group Interpretation will be doing an adaptation of the book “World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War,” by Max Brooks.  This book is currently in production for a motion picture being released this summer starring Brad Pitt.  The Drama Group will be doing Christopher Durang’s “The Actor’s Nightmare,” a one-act play about a man thrown into the spotlight onstage, but unsure of who he actually is and how he got there.  It is an interesting black comedy that audiences will enjoy.

The Group Interpretation is directed by Cheryl Harris, the One Act is directed by John Stevens, and the Technical  Director is Dan Chambers.
